Save the Date: Annual General Meeting

Please join us for the Thunder Bay Council of Canadians’ Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 6:30-8:30pm at the Waverley Library Auditorium.

Come and review our last year’s activities, and participate in planning for 2016. Discuss what our local priorities should be, what campaigns to participate in, lobbying focus, new topics of interest, and other topics. Everyone is welcome, and this would be a good time to connect with other like-minded people in a non-pressure environment.

Going Green at the AGM!

To reduce its environmental footprint, the CoC Thunder Bay Chapter Steering Committee is working with EcoSuperior to make the September 10th AGM a Litter Free Green Event.  The Cardinal Room  at the CLE was chosen as the venue as it has a kitchen permitting the use of washable dishes, glasses, cutlery and water pitchers. The CLE is centrally located on a bus route and attendees are encouraged to walk, bike and carpool if possible. Bikes can be stored in the vestibule at the Cardinal Room`s entrance or inside at the back of the room. Almost all of the promotion and related information is being sent electronically and members of the Chapter Steering Committee will be wearing reusable name tags. Fair trade coffee and locally baked goodies will be offered for everyone`s enjoyment. In addition to conserving resources and reducing waste, attendees will be helping to build a healthier, more sustainable community and planet.
