Participating in the federal postal service review: ideas and inspiration to make Canada Post the hub of our Next Economy

The Government of Canada is conducting a review of Canada Post and its services.  Until Fall 2016, anyone can participate in the review.

In response, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers is offering ideas about how postal workers could be used in communities in its Delivering Community Power campaign. Click here to learn more about how Canada Post can be the hub of our Next Economy.

The CUPW proposals provide a way to keep permanent, well-paid jobs in our communities, to prevent privatization of a public service rather than expanding its usefulness, and to provide things like banking and bill paying options in small communities which may have lost their bank.  CoC National and the Leap Manifesto both support this initiative by the post office employees.

Canadians can also participate in consultations this fall in person and at any time can send comments to their Member of Parliament.
